After that, he was on the football team (rugby union), rowing team, and was one of the head prefects at his school. After taking university exams, he came out in the top one percent of Australian students Julian started dating when he was 15 His house: It's a
two-story 3 bedroom house with a very open plan, eclectically styled his
way. It's like a fun house, a little kids' house. There are slippery
slides into the pool, and you can jump off the balcony into the pool. Pool
side, there's a cabana bar and a bronze lamp in the shape of a nude woman;
in the kitchen, Dom Pérignon. Ceilings are mirrored. Cars are important to him, ever since his first, which he called his "granny mobile''. It was a second-hand white Toyota Corolla and the engine blew up because he didn't know you had to put water in it. At the age of 6, Julian
insisted on taking the bus to school rather than being chauffeur-driven by
a big Rolls Royce limousine. His first day was a little traumatic for him
because there were all these strangers on the bus and the driver in which
he didn't know, was driving very fast. Although, Julian stuck with it
because he was a very headstrong boy. Julian gave up a law degree in order to pursue acting. He got tired of reading books. He started modeling for Levi's Jeans commercials, Pepsi, and print ads in 1989. At University of Sydney, someone approached Julian at a luncheon and asked if he would like to do some fashion modeling and commercial work at age 17. He traveled to the US and then Europe and when he went back to Australia to meet some casting agents, he was offered a role in a TV Series. When Julian was younger, he traveled up and down the coasts of Italy by train and had no money. He used to sit in the first class cabin, fall asleep and then get kicked out If Julian could have any superpower, he would like to have the ability to fly because it takes him 14 hours by plane to get to Australia. Julian spent nearly four years studying American and European dialects until his native Australian tones were completely submerged. The role of Cole Turner
on Charmed was the first job Julian was given without having to audition
for. He had previously read for another role on the WB, but Julian wasn't
available at the time due to previous committments. Julian did ballroom dancing for three years and as well as salsa dancing He was once quoted in an Australian magazine article as saying that acting was just another job to bring in money. Julian and Brian Krause, who plays Leo on Charmed both starred on TV's now defunct daytime drama Another World. However, since Julian left the soap in 1994 and Brian arrived in 1997, they never had a chance to work together.
Julian was born into one
of Australia's first families: He is the third son of one time Australian
Prime Minister Sir William McMahon and his wife Lady Sonja McMahon. He now lives in Hollywood Hills. McMahon helped to design and landscape his own yard and grows a great range of fruits and herbs that he uses in the kitchen.
