A school for children with good magic, protected by good magic that no one can be killed by evil on its grounds. It was started by one of the most powerful elders, Gideon, who could manipulate the rules in Magic School as he was able to kill his own assistant inside the school. Paige became headmistress after Gideon's demise and when she resigned, the newly-human Leo briefly took over. It is now run by demons after Zankou was able to breach the school's protective spell when he stole the Haliwell's Book of Shadows at the end of Season 7.

6x22 GideonEducated and intelligent, Gideon was an excellent mentor and friend to Leo, until that is, he tried to murder Wyatt and succeeded in killing Chris. He insisted it was for the Greater Good, but but received his deserved comeuppance by Leo in 6x23 It's a bad, bad, bad, bad world.

Summary: Leo's old mentor at Magic School, Gideon, calls upon Piper, Phoebe and Paige to find out who cast the spell of darkness upon the school and conjured up the Headless Horesman, who has been beheading the teachers. Meanwhile, Phoebe is sent on a vision quest by Enola, a young shaman student, and gets a glimpse into the future, where she discovers Chris' true identity.

Trivia:

The Magical School is a pretty clear spin on Hogwarts from Harry Potter

Phoebe, during her vision quest, see possible outcomes of the future lives of the Halliwell sisters: she sees Piper with two sons, Paige as a teacher at the Magic School, and herself pregnant.

At the end of the episode, Phoebe confronts Chris, who finally admits the truth to her, that he's Piper's & Leo's son - the other little boy Phoebe saw in her vision.

For the first time in Charmed, we learn of a magic school exsisting. And Gideon had met the sisters as children - presumably before their powers where bound.

Paige (about Gideon): Who does he think he is? Obi-Wan Kenobi?

Refers to Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the main characters of Star Wars (IV, A new hope)
