The Keeper of the fairy tales has been trusted with the original artefacts for protection because if somebody uses fairy tales for evil, it could rewrite them, corrupt them for every future generation.


The keeper has been murdered by the Wicked Witch.

Some fairy tales are recountings of ancient battles between good and evil.
Fairy tale magic runs out at midnight. The power of every fairy tale emanates from artefacts like Cinderella's slippers. Their magic continues to shape every child born, even to this day. These artefacts are stored in a secret fortress.

Summary:

An evil witch traps the Halliwell sisters in distorted versions of classic fairy tales, where Phoebe attends a ball as Cinderella and meets Adam Prince (Charming) , Paige has a taste of Snow White's poisoned apple, and Piper encounters a big, bad wolf, as Little Red Riding Hood.

Trivia: Phoebe: Hey, I'm walking here!
Meaning:
Phoebe is forced to walk in front of a cab because of the glass slippers she is wearing. A taxi cab stops short of hitting here and Paige. She slams her hand on the hood of the car and yells, "Hey, I'm walking here!" This is the memorable line that Dustin Hoffman (as Enrico Salvatore 'Ratso' Rizzo) used in "Midnight Cowboy" (1969).

Evil Witch: I'm melting... I'm melting... I'm melting
Meaning:
Reference to the 1939 MGM movie from Warner Brothers "The Wizard of Oz". The Wicked Witch of the West screams and moans, "I'm melting...I'm melting...I'm melting" after Dorothy throws water on her.
