Lucas is one of the demons who were once humans and consumed by sin in life. He
uses sin balls to corrupt paragons of good. Infectors target a victim's predisposition to sin and magnify it with a sin ball, leading to the victim's self-destruction wtihin hours.

Lucas is vanquished by the Charmed Ones by using sin balls against him.

The seven deadly sins were bottled at the Source and by the Source.
These sins are:
Pride - the excessive belief in oneself
Envy - the desire for what others have
Gluttony - the desire to overly indulge
Lust - a craving for pleasures of the body
Anger - uncontrolable fury
Greed - a craving for material wealth
Sloth - the avoidance of work

The sin balls can only be disempowered by destroying the infector (or an act of selflessness except for pride)

Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Leo are each infected with one of the seven deadly sins. This leads to complications as they try to save others from the remaining sins and find Lucas the demon who infected them. Meanwhile the sins began to interfere with their lives as Phoebe hits on her professor, Leo gets lazy, Piper makes QVC her new best friend and Prue's pride begins to take over.
