Drazi is a demon of hate who fell in love with a mortal woman. 
Cupid redirected her love towards a mortal man away from Drazi. 
He blamed Cupid for denying him love and stole his ring. The magic ring is used to slip in there between the heart beats and plant thoughts of love. 
Drazi used the ring to find all the loves that Cupid has put together and destroy them. If he had succeeded, eventually he had killed the ability to love

These messengers are responsible for bringing people together who have a chance at love. Many agents roam about the world using their powers to connect people. Their powers lie in a ring, which allows them to slow time and get between heartbeats where they can then plant thoughts of love. These beings are not responsible for all love, however. They are forbidden to make some connections, yet sometimes people manage to make such connections without any aid.

Drazi has been vanquished with a potion by the Charmed Ones.

Cupid comes knocking, seeking the sisters help in destroying a hate demon named Drazi. Unfortunately, the sisters fail in their attempt and Drazi starts to destroy both Prue and Piper's new relationships, as Phoebe learns why she is the only Halliwell sister without a boyfriend.
