Grimlocks are underground demons living in storm drain systems who roam city to city killing powerful forces of good by seeing the unique auras that surround them and strangling them. They're able to do so by stealing the sight of innocent children. 
The stolen eyesight will only last twenty-four hours but only if the children are alive. Grimlocks are sensitive to light. They breed with eggs.

The only way to kill a Grimlock is to blind it with a potion made from chisandra root. 
These grimlocks were vanquished by Phoebe and Prue.

Aura is the soul energy that every human possesses.
