The Halloween murders happened at
Halloween 1958 at a private university in San Francisco. One of the school's most popular girls, Betty Warren, fell in love with a scholarship student named Ronald Galvez. Betty's family and friends disapproved, including her best friend, Charlotte Logan. During a costume party held in Thayer Hall at Halloween 1958, Betty was found stabbed, her friend Charlotte killed and her friend was found with a bloody knife in his hands and blood on his clothing. He insisted he was not responsible for what had happened but nobody believed him. Ronald was able to flee but eventually was hunted and gunned down by the police. Legend says that the spirits of these three people continued to haunt the former campus. Phoebe finally found out the truth: the muderer was Charlotte; jealous of Betty for falling in love with Ronald, the one man Charlotte loved. Charlotte stabbed Betty and killed herself, knowing that Ronald, who had tried to save his girlfriend, would be accused of murder. Betty survived. Her family kept her identity a secret and she took the name Marjorie Yarnell. Charlotte was banished for good by the Charmed Ones. Dylan Thomas, a warlock who tries to seperate the sisters and to steal their powers by using a love potion. He was able of astral mind manipulation. Vanquished by Prue with the help of Piper. |

Phoebe is said to have the power of astral projektion. Professor Hagin teaches legends and folklore (uncovering supernatural S.F.), why does he not know Betty was wounded but not killed? Why was there no notice in newspapers. Can you freeze a ghost? If freezing means to slow down molecules why would this effect a ghost? The sisters were able to banish the ghost of Charlotte by simply using a spell. However it has been established in the show that such a spell could only work when spoken on the ghostly plane. |

|
All three sisters get their share of
attention however the story of Prue and Piper fighting over the handsome
guy is a bit childish and way too long. Obviously the book tries to create
some horror atmosphere but fails completely. The crime story is solved at
the end and in a good way though. Read if you can't find better fan fiction. |
